I really like the juxtaposition of the black diamonds surrounding the classic white South Sea pearl set against the platinum backdrop. I think that this design could work for a lot of other people as well, because you could wear it with so many other pieces of jewelry to complement both casual and dressy looks.

Yes, that is exactly what I am looking for. While I do of course love the platinum over the other metals, I notice that the ring price decreases significantly with the choice of either white 14K or 18K gold, and then significantly more with silver. Although I know that platinum is the best quality, can you explain the differences in longevity expectation for silver, both types of gold and platinum? In other words, how much more durability do I get by purchasing the platinum over the over metals? Does the lowered price indicate that the metal underneath the finger will wear out over time, especially in terms of heirloom quality? One of the reasons I buy jewelry at this price point is to pass down to my daughter one day.
