Emerald Cut Aquamarine Tapered by Two Carat Oval Diamonds
01-15-2013, 03:15 PM
American Diamond was commissioned to produce a three stone diamond ring with an Aquamarine center stone flanked by two oval cut diamonds. Some people often wonder what two ovals set side-by-side with an emerald cut stone would look like; especially of this size and magnitude.
Take a look at what our team came up with. I am wondering what PearlWizard thinks of this as he has a very discerning eye. As you can see we created a spacious airline gallery to accommodate a sufficient flow of light to pass through the oval cut diamonds while accommodating for the fact that the pavilion of the Aquamarine has enough room to sit within the setting.

Words do not do this image justice. Our client is coming in later today and I have feeling he's going to love this Aquamarine with Oval cut diamond ring. There's so much to talk about when looking at this ring. It's a bold and elegant arrangement of stones with 7 carat Aquamarine emerald cut in the center this and the (2) 1.7 carat oval diamonds adding punctuation to this statement piece. The measurements for the Aquamarine are 14 x 10 x 6.88mm and the Ovals cut diamonds are 8.9 x 6.9 x 4.5mm and there was a question about how we would secure the stones. We decided to make this ring in platinum had it's strongest precious metal that we can set these stones in.
As predicted, the client and his soon to fiancé are ecstatic with ring that we are creating.
Next step is the wedding band. Stay tuned...

This wedding band is a MAGNIFICENT art-deco designed original piece made in platinum, set with 5, round, 0.30ct. ideal cut diamonds, E color and VS clarity. All five diamonds were sifted to match the same 4.20mm that the setting called for. Our client couldn't be more thrilled with what they have aptly termed a work of art.
