Small Natural Pearl Necklace

I have a small natural pearl necklace purchased at Shreveport crump and Lowe in early 60's. 5 years ago someone there told me (without seeing it ) that naturalearls are not worth anymore than cultured. Your website seems to disagree. Could you clarify?

Natural pearls are the rarest pearls in the world and are very valuable. Of course, the value depends on the size and the quality of the pearls. Because natural pearls are so rare, they are really worth what the next person is willing to pay for them at auction. Sotheby's Natural Pearl Necklace

Accompanied by report No. 18809 dated 27 October 2009 from The AnchorCert Laboratory stating extensive samples were found to be natural saltwater pearls
